📜 Remarkable Growth Journey: AFCU was established in 1998 E.C. (Ethiopian Calendar) in Ambo Woreda with only five primary cooperatives and a modest starting capital of just 70,000 Birr. Through decades of dedication, strategic expansion, and member commitment, we have achieved phenomenal growth. Today, AFCU proudly operates with a total capital exceeding 1 Billion Birr, working hand-in-hand with 284 cooperatives across 18 woredas of West Shewa Zone. Our cooperative family now serves 156,155 dedicated farmers — comprising 135,033 male members and 21,122 female members — driving agricultural transformation and rural prosperity across the region.
